Rev. Denvil Farley
Rev. denvil farley
Presiding Elder, Gulf Coast District
Denvil Farley was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida, and currently serves as Lead Pastor of Port Charlotte Global Methodist Church. He and his wife, Gwen, have been married for 20 years and are blessed with five children.
Denvil graduated from Florida State University with a BS in Political Science and Philosophy and earned his MDiv from Duke Divinity School. His first ministry role was serving as a church custodian, and he later spent five years in youth ministry. While in seminary, Denvil began pastoral ministry at a rural church in North Carolina before returning to Florida to serve as an Associate Pastor at Christ Church Venice. He is now lead pastor at Port Charlotte GMC.
Denvil enjoys sports—especially college football—traveling on mission and for leisure, and spending time with his family. He is grateful to be part of the Global Methodist Church because of its commitment to the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ has transformed his life, and Denvil prays to see that same transformation take place in other people, communities, our nation, and around the world.
